Originally from Colombia, Octavio has a broad experience in the financial markets. After graduating college in his home town, Cali, he worked at one of the most prestigious fixed income trading desks in the country, where he traded both government and corporate bonds for the firm. Then he pursued his MBA in Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter in the UK. He came to the US and since then he has worked for hedge funds and trading boutiques where he has gained ample experience in various trading instruments, execution and strategy development. Octavio executes buy and sell orders based on direction from the Principal of the office, David, on multiple platforms constantly looking for best pricing available and profit opportunities, while reaching full market exposure. He scans the marketplace throughout the day with the help of sophisticated proprietary tools which provide him accurate information to appropriately price a multitude of bonds.
